Sponsorships
Honor Flight Bluegrass Chapter gratefully accepts donations to help continue our noble mission. Donations are accepted from all individuals (except WWII veterans as we feel that they have given more than enough to our country). Additionally, we invite schools, professional groups, companies, civic entities and especially veteran service organizations to contribute. We operate under the IRS 501 C(3) rules for non-profit organizations.
Your donation will be used to help transport veterans from the Bluegrass Region to Washington, DC to visit THEIR memorial. Our top priority are veterans with terminal illnesses and World War II Veterans who have waited over 60 years for their memorial. Most of these remaining senior veterans will never see the WWII Memorial without the help of compassionate people like you. Many of our WWII veterans had previously given up all hope of ever seeing the memorial that honors their service and the ultimate sacrifice of their comrades.
The time to act is NOW. In 2007, approximately 1,500 World War II veterans died each DAY. The average life expectancy for an American is 74.4 years. The youngest WWII veteran is over 79 years old. Sadly, in a few years almost all of our WWII veterans will be gone.
This trip will probably be their "last hurrah," the last time they will be recognized as heroes and conquering victors that collectively and literally saved the world. All day long they will be thanked, recognized and admired for their service. These veterans will remember the kindness and adoration shown to them for the rest of their lives. They will all have a deeper appreciation for how much their country loves them and will miss them.
THESE TRIPS ARE COMPLETELY FREE TO THE VETERAN. To sponsor one veteran, the cost is $250. However, any and all donations help. Honor Flight is a 501C-3 Non-Profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. To Donate, make check payable to: Honor Flight Bluegrass Chapter

Flight Sponsorships
With a donation of $10,000, professional groups, businesses and individuals can sponsor an entire flight of 40 veterans and 17 guardians. Sponsorship of a flight gives the contributor(s) the following:
- Membership of the organization can be at the flight send off and will be recognized to the veterans and the press in attendance.
- Two (2) members of the organization can go on the flight as guardians for free. The organization is able to provide literature about their organization, which will be included in the "luv" packages given to the veterans at the beginning of the flight.
- The organization can conduct the "Welcome Home" Ceremony. The organization will be included in all advertising and publicity of the sponsored flight and will be included on Honor Flight Bluegrass Chapter website.
